Who is Coco Framboise?

Oh, she's a dish all right. Known for her apple bottom and her saucy glance, you never quite know what she will serve up! This pint-sized dynamo has an outsized stage presence and she takes audiences on a thrill ride from the saucy to the surreal to the sublime.

The Coco Framboise School of Burlesque (formerly Boom Chika Boom Burlesque Classes), blends Broadway jazz, burlesque, and go go. Over the past five years, this breakthrough program has evolved to become Toronto's most extensive drop-in burlesque curriculum for beginners and more experienced performers alike. A brand new intermediate program for students wishing to become burlesque artists launches September 2009! Click here for schedules and registration.

Coco has appeared as a special guest instructor on numerous TV shows including "The List," "Three Takes," "Matchmaker," and "The Mom Show." Her classes have also been the focus of a number of articles for ELLE Canada, the National Post, the Toronto Star and more! Coco has also been a popular guest instructor for bachelorette parties and other events.

The Coco Framboise Show is noted for its stunning luxury acts and large signature props. Some of Coco's favourite numbers are "The Apple of My Eye" atop a giant sparkly candy apple, as well as "The Crystal Fantasy" featuring the city's largest white ostrich boa fans and Coco in her dainty rhinestone bikini. "Ring-a-Ding-Ding" is her latest extravagance that includes a giant vintage telephone and address book - recently debuted in London, UK!

To her headlining shows, she has added Coco's Bonbons, a saucy foursome of support dancers performing choreography inspired by the soundstage musicals of Hollywood's Golden Age. The Coco Framboise Show blends vintage Hollywood spectacle with a tempting modern flavour. Sumptuous, seductive, and always surprising, Coco and her Bonbons will whet your appetite.

Coco's live performances have titillated local audiences at the Toronto International Film Festival, the Toronto Burlesque Festival, Toronto Fashion Week, Luminato, the Palais Royale Ballroom, Liberty Grand, the Drake Hotel, the Gladstone Hotel, the Mod Club, Revival, Jezebel Burlesque Club, Tryst, and more. You have also seen her on 'King Kaboom' (SunTV), in SexTV's burlesque documentary, 'Bump and Grind,' and in a ten page spread in Lush Magazine! Further afield she has performed at the Fallsview Hotel and Casino in Niagara, as well as on stages in Stratford, Vancouver, Montreal and Los Angeles, and New York. In April 2009 she was tickled to be the only Canadian showgirl invited to strut her stuff at the Jetsetters Ball as part of the London Burlesque Festival in the UK! Coco was thrilled to be invited to perform in the All Star Evening for the inaugural Montreal Burlesque Festival in addition to teaching one of her signature workshops! Don't miss Coco in Montreal in March 2010 for the most glamorous event of the winter, The Grand Burlesque Show -- headlined by Europe's burlesque megastar, IMMODESTY BLAIZE!
